.cold.
There aren’t many things in this world Kibum hates as much as being cold. He doesn’t know how his friends manage to drag him outside when it’s freezing there, snow covering every expanse of land for as far as he can see. Grumpily he stuffs his hands deeper into the pockets of his jacket, kicking the snow as if to get back at it. It helps, a little.
“Come on!” His eyes snap up at the familiar voice calling him from a few paces away, his gaze instantly meeting another. Jonghyun is grinning at him, his eyes sparkling with such excitement one could think he just won the lottery. Involuntarily Kibum’s lips twitch a little but he fights to suppress the smile that tries to break free.
“I’m freezing my ass off here,” he growls, opting for a petulant pout as he approaches the other boy. Their friends are somewhere close but he doesn’t exactly care, he knows they’ll appear soon enough. “You’d better make it up to me.”
“How about hot chocolate later on?” Jonghyun grins and reaches for the other boy’s arm, tugging him forward. Kibum’s hand slips from his pocket and Jonghyun uses the given opportunity fast as lightning, lacing their fingers together. His hand is warm, oddly enough, and Kibum can feel himself melting, just a little.
He looks up again, startling as the other boy is surprisingly close, sharing the same breath. “My treat,” Jonghyun whispers. Kibum doesn’t fight the small smile anymore, opening his mouth to agree.
The exact same second a cold hand is stuffed up his shirt, a handful of snow against the bare skin of his back. He screeches as Jonghyun bolts, laughing.
